My Go-To Lip Colors

Hey, if you follow me on Instagram, you probably know I'm all about posting selfies. My feed is pretty much just filled with them. People often slide into my DMs to chat about makeup and compliment my looks. Oh, and there's this one girl who was curious about my go-to lipstick. I've got a ton of colors in my makeup stash, but these ones are my absolute favorites. I don't bother organizing them by shade or finish or anything like that. Who's got time for that, right? So here goes nothin'!

These are my favorite colors! I always buy these 9 shades, and I pack them whenever I travel—even to college! I like mixing and matching them to make my own lip combo. 

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul ∙ I really like this lip cream color, but sometimes it seems too light for my skin but then it's also not. It confuses me a bit, but at least it's a matte formula that doesn't totally dry out my lips.

CLIO Lipnicure Glass in Heartbreaker ∙  This bad boy is tiny but man, the price... The color's pretty though and it's like a tint, but you can rock it like regular lip cream too. The color payoff is great, and it sticks around, but weirdly, it dries out my lips. By the end of the day, they're all chapped, but hey, the color's too good to resist.

Simplysiti Ultra Moist Lipstick in Ku Mahu ∙ I've been using this lipstick since I got it. It's a staple now! It feels really hydrating. If I'm not sure which lip color to go for, this is the one I'd choose. It's got a nice shade and finish.

Essence Lipliner in 06 Satin Mauve ∙ Wow, this lip liner is such a steal at just RM6! I spotted it and couldn't resist grabbing it. It's such a versatile shade that goes with almost all of my lip products. Plus, it looks great on its own too. Just outline the lips and fill them in – instant new lipstick!

MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy ∙ This lipstick? It's my absolute fave. I wear it practically every day because I'm totally hooked on it. Seriously, I can't get enough. It's matte, but not the dry kind. My lips stay comfy, no chapping in sight. And you know what's fun? Mixing it up with other shades for my perfect lip look.

IN2IT Gel Tint in Strawberry ∙ Oh my gosh, I just can't live without this gel tint! I love how it looks on my lips, and it stays on so well. Seriously, it's like the best lip stuff ever from IN2IT. And can you believe it's only RM10?

Silkygirl Matte Junkie in Retro ∙ Silkygirl really upped their lip game! I'm already on my... third tube? Maybe fourth? I lose count. The shade is gorgeous, and this lip cream is super affordable. It stays on all day, which is awesome. Only bummer is, they sell out really quick.

Silkygirl Matte Junkie in Glamour ∙ I wanted a pink lippie for my makeup stash, so I grabbed this one. I didn't think I could rock this color, but it actually looks great on my skin. Now, it's my favorite! Plus, it makes my teeth look whiter lol!

Silkygirl Matte Junkie in Vintage ∙ Can you tell how much I'm into this new Silkygirl matte lip cream? I grabbed another shade because, come on, the color's gorgeous. It's great for any day, you know, everyday stuff. My top Matte Junkie pick? Gotta go with Vintage. Retro can sometimes be too orange for me, and Glamour's a bit too light. Vintage all the way!

So, there you have it! Basically, most of the lippies I reach for are in pink, nude, or brick tones. I do like reds, but they're not my everyday choice. I save them for special occasions, like events or dinners.
