Amoura Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick

Hey everyone! Today I'm checking out the Amoura Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick for you all. If you haven't heard of them, Amoura Cosmetics is a local Malaysian brand that I only discovered thanks to my aunt. I think they have a bunch of beauty products, not just lip stuff, but I'm not totally sure.

Anyway, I don't want to babble on and bore you. I have two liquid lipsticks to talk about today, and I think they offer about 10 shades in total. Each one costs RM39, and I only grabbed two. So, let's dive into the review!

Packaging

First off, let's talk about the overall packaging. Each Amoura Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick comes in a cute, slim, colorful box (check out the picture). The lipsticks themselves are in these sleek, square matte glass tubes with "Amoura Cosmetics" printed on them. Honestly, I love the packaging!

Applicator

It has a doe-foot applicator that's a bit stiffer than others I've tried, but it works just fine. The applicator is longer with a slim, pointed end, making it super easy to use!

Formula, texture, pigmentation & longevity

So, these liquid lipsticks are supposed to be all matte when they dry down but don't worry, they won't leave your lips feeling like the Sahara desert. Trust me, I've been there with those drying ones before, not fun. But these? I'm all about them.

On my lips, they're like weightless and kind of powdery, but not in a bad way. And guess what? They actually keep my lips feeling hydrated, thanks to the Shea butter. The formula is a bit different from what I'm used to though — it's thin and watery, so you gotta take your time applying it. But once it's on, it's smooth sailing with some decent color.

Now, if I gotta nitpick, they do take ages to dry down completely matte. Ugh, waiting is the worst. And as for staying power? Well, don't expect them to last through a full-on feast. They clock about 4-5 hours on me before fading away, especially after munching and chatting. Not a great look when they start fading from the center, let me tell you. But hey, you can always slap on another coat, right?

Oh, and did I mention the strawberry scent and taste? Yeah, they smell delicious. I've been tempted to lick 'em, but if you're not into scented stuff, these might be a bit much for you. Just a heads-up!

Application & removal

When I use a matte lip cream like this, it's all about prepping my lips right. What I do is slap on a thick layer of lip balm before I even start my makeup routine. Once I'm done with my base, eyes, and all that jazz, I just blot off the balm with a tissue, making sure my lips are dry, and then swipe on the liquid lipstick. And when it comes to taking it off, it's a breeze! No pain at all. I just use some wet wipes if I have them handy, but if not, a micellar water always does the trick. A little gentle rubbing and it's gone. After that, I always make sure to hydrate my lips with some more balm to keep them nice and smooth. Easy peasy!

Pros

Easy to use and apply
Buildable and doesn't feel thick or heavy
Each shade is distinct from one another
Not extremely drying
Easy to remove
Slightly affordable
Has a nice scent

Cons

Takes forever to dry
Weak staying power
Wow, what a long post! Overall, I'd say these liquid lipsticks get a 3.5 out of 5 from me. They're okay, but not my go-to. I'll keep using them though and don't regret buying them. That's it for today's review! Hope you liked it and see you next time! x

    1. They are! It's so wearable but the longevity is my biggest concern because I want lip color to stay all day :D
