Getting a good night's sleep is everything to me. I truly believe that a good night's sleep sets the tone for a fantastic day. To make sure I get there, I like to give it a little boost before bed. My nighttime beauty routine needs to be just right because, believe it or not, our bodies do amazing things while we sleep. Never underestimate this. Even when you're super tired and just want to crash, the smallest steps can make a big difference.
Always, always, always cleanse. You know you should, so don't pretend you don't. I know it's tempting to just fall into bed with a full face of makeup, but trust me, you'll regret it. I've been there, and it's not what I'd call "beauty sleep."
Even if you don't wear makeup, you still need to wash off the dirt that's been sitting on your skin all day. Yikes! Just spend a few minutes at the sink—it’s worth it. My favorite makeup remover is Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. It's my holy grail and a staple in my skincare routine. After that, I continue with the rest of my skincare steps.
Tie the hair up in a bun
I can't sleep if my hair is all over my face. It makes me so uncomfortable. Tying it up into a bun is super important, especially if you have acne-prone skin. This keeps the hair oil off your face, so it doesn't cause breakouts. I know some of you worry about damaging your hair, but a loose and messy bun works perfectly. It's my go-to trick.
Massage the face
I always give my face a little massage before bed—a slow, relaxing rub on the jawline and "dancing fingers" under the eyes. It doesn't take long, just 2 or 3 minutes. Why massage? Because it helps me relax before bed, ensures I get a good night's sleep, and keeps me looking a little youthful. Now you know my secret!
A cup of tea
Sipping a cup of tea in my PJs before bed is the ultimate relaxation for me. It's so peaceful and calming. Whether I'm having a bad day or a great one, day or night, a cup of tea always helps. It doesn’t have to be tea, though. Whatever warm drink you prefer works. I know someone who can't live without her coffee. As long as it's something warm, you're good to go.
as for me before sleep i oftenly brush my teeth, wash my face.. put serum and drying lotion for acne xD
ReplyDeleteWhat serum are you using? Is it good? Hehehe :D
DeleteMy night routine before bed is brushing my teeth, do my skincare routine, listening to songs until I feel sleepy and then sleep.
ReplyDeleteI feel you. I don't like it when my hair is not tie everytime I go to sleep, or else my hair will go everywhere on my face. It hurts tho, sometimes. Hahaha 😊
Finally someone understands me! I don't like it when my hair gets on the way. What kind of songs you usually listen to before hitting the bed? :D
DeleteI always braid my hair before going to bed and then do my skincare routine and red a book before sleeping x
