I'm super excited about today's post. I've been itching to review this eyeshadow palette since the moment I got it and played around with it. So today, I'm diving into Focallure's eyeshadow palette. If you haven't heard of Focallure, it's quite a popular makeup brand from China. I was thrilled to get my hands on it! Let's get onto the review!
Packaging
The palette comes in simple black cardboard packaging. For the price, it's what you'd expect, but it feels pretty decent. Lots of brands use similar packaging, and I'm fine with it. The magnetic closure keeps everything secure.
Shades
This palette has 18 shades – hence the name. You get 10 matte shades, 1 satin shade, and 7 fabulous metallic, foiled, glittery shades. The color scheme ranges from oranges and terracotta to berry tones. I love that each color has its own name, making it easier to explain.
Texture & pigmentation
When I swatched the matte shades with my fingers, I noticed they were a bit pressed down, so there was barely any fallout. Despite that, they're still buttery and pigmented! A few shades didn't show up as well and were a bit lacking in pigmentation, but overall, it's still a pretty decent palette.
The metallic, foiled, and glittery shades are stunning! I was so impressed. The colors are intense, and the pigmentation is spot-on. They're best applied with your fingers for that extra bling.
Swatches
pros:
Affordable
Great for beginners
Minimal fallout
Decent pigmentation
Does not irritate my eyes
cons:
Some shades can get muddy when blended
A few colors are a bit dry and stiff
Verdict
Overall, this palette is fantastic. Most of the colors are beautiful and high-quality. If you love experimenting with makeup but don't want to spend a lot, I'd definitely recommend it. It's affordable and offers pigmentation similar to brands like Maybelline and Catrice. Totally worth having!

Are the ingredients used safe?
ReplyDeleteYes :) You can read the ingredients on their website. All the ingredients are commonly found in cosmetics, in my opinion. Nothing is dangerous, but you should be careful if you are allergic to Phenoxyethanol as it is one of the ingredients :)
ReplyDeleteBeen wondering to try this out, same goes to other products like lipstick, foundation etc from focallure but well I heard and read a lot of negative comments about the quality :/
ReplyDeleteI too was thinking numerous times whether to get this palette or not. I have to give it to Fatin Zakki on Youtube for liking and approving this palette. So, I have to try it on myself. I was pleasantly surprised because for that price, it's not a bad product at all. You can make it work and I've created so many looks ever since I got it and it's safe to say that I had minimal to no issue at all. So far so good. It's normal for a product to have drawbacks and people not liking them etc etc. There's no such thing as perfect palette/ product :)
DeleteThis palette looks beautiful and the swatches look decent as well x
