New In My Beauty Stash

Something I am pretty embarrassed about when it comes to the whole beauty blogging is that I tend to talk about the same products over and over again. It has come to the point where it gets pretty boring. But that's just me being me — I don't simply go out and have some "let's get more makeup today!". 

It feels like my blog isn't growing to some extent. But I always think at least it shows to the people that I am actually really using the stuff, and who knows people might get something from the drugstore because they read my blog? 

So instead of rambling on and on about the hydrating toner from The Body Shop (that I love so much) and Tarte Shape Tape (also, well-loved) for the millionth time, I thought I would share some of the new things in my beauty stash.

Watsons 3 Mins Beauty Call Pick Me Up! Mask

I have noticed so many sheet masks cropping up on Watsons' shelves and realized they're lots from the brand Watsons itself. Mind you, Watsons has quite a number of in-house brand sheet masks and this is what I have decided to try. Why?

It. Has. Niacinamide!

I hope it gives me the brightening effect that almost all Mediheal sheet masks gave me. I know I can't stop raving about Mediheal but who knows after this I might rave about this affordable sheet mask from Watsons?

Silkygirl MLBB Lip Tint in 02 Rosie

This is not so new to the drugstores but definitely new to me. I like the name, so of course, I need to check it out and buy and try it for myself.

I have worn it twice so far and I must say it's pretty watery and so lightweight! It has a good moisturizing property so I didn't experience dry, chapped lips, etc. None of that. The size is perfect to toss in your handbag when you're going out as well. So yeah, I am liking it so far.

Silkygirl Cushion Matte Lip Powder in 03 Poppy

I love this shade! It's totally a spring color. It's vibrant and sweet at the same time. I like the texture, it's very lightweight. It feels like I am wearing nothing on my lips. Although I must say, it's better to exfoliate your lips beforehand since this is a powdery form kind of lip product.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Mat 11

Yes, I am stepping out of my comfort zone, out of my boring bubble. Instead of getting something similar over and over again (AKA nude, muted pink lips), I got something really bold this time. I am honestly blown away by how opaque the shade is and one swipe is all you need.

Worth reading: My Go-To Lip Colors

However, this product isn't matte. It won't set even after a while, it remains slippery and is extremely transfer-prone. I wouldn't consider this as liquid lipstick. Maybe lip cream's more suited.

Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer in Soft Brown

If you're a fan of Gimme Brow by Benefit, this Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer is a lot like that except the applicator is different and the price is more on the affordable side. Although I was looking for some clear brow gel, there's no harm in trying this. It's actually a pretty good brow mascara for thickening up thin and skinny brows like yours truly.

IN2IT Lash Define Mascara

I kind of dig this mascara. It's my first time trying a mascara that has fibre in it. I would applaud the lengthening properties of this mascara. This might work for girls out there who have short lashes because it does create an illusion of longer lashes.

The applicator floats my boat. The bristles are pretty tiny, which I like because I am able to reach the roots of my lashes. And the slightly curved design is nice to follow the slope of my eyes.

IN2IT Midnight Matte Waterproof Eyeliner Pen

I haven't tested this on my eyes yet but I have swatched it on the back of my hand and 1) no bleeding action; 2) smudge-proof, and 3) waterproof. It's been a while since I am trying out a felt tip eyeliner because I am really fond of brush tip eyeliners. But so far so good. It's pretty intense and matte. Hopefully, I will like it more after trying it on my eyes.
