Have you been unfortunate enough to reach your adulthood and only now get chickenpox? It's awful being an adult with chickenpox, for the first time. And why is that? 1) I went to see the doctor not once, not twice, but thrice. I went to the doctor thrice; 2) Got my prescriptions and apparently, I have to drink 4 tablets a day, which is SUPER fun; 3) If you're wondering about the rashes and itching, it's itching like hell and I can't do anything about it except to let it be; and 4) I miss my smooth and flawless skin.
I was advised to stay at home and that I don't have to go to work for a couple of weeks until I am fully fit to be working again. But d'you know what? I realized that I kinda have to since I have the power to infect anyone I want... lol.
All jokes aside, it has only been 4 days and God knows how bad I wanted to go to work. I guess I'm so used to my working routine and actually do stuff. And now when I have to spend my days not doing stuff and lots of laying-down-in-bed sessions, it's kinda awkward. However, it's really necessary actually since each and every one of my muscles is all in pain and I have bumps all over my body. Even in my mouth. And not to mention, I can't taste food properly and have migraines every 5 seconds. But at least, I have the best nurse in the whole wide world AKA my momma <3
Have you gotten chickenpox before? And how old were you at that time?
Ahh that sucks! I'm fearing the day my daughter starts school and brings home the chicken pox as I've never had it as a child and no doubt will catch it whenever she does :(
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! xo
My mom never had it too! Mommies are strong women in my book xx thanks for the wish btw <3
DeleteI got chicken pox when I was 15, on my last PMR trial paper. I wasnt aware about it until I got home & saw the bumps on my body. It was on Ramadhan a week before raya, & guess what? I tak raya for a week! I had it for 2 weeks, supposed to cure faster but well... I cant resist all the good food xD
ReplyDeleteOh my god, that sucks! Sedihnya tak beraya and the first week raya lah yg paling best hehe. But glad they're all over and your skin is poppin'!
DeleteHope you'll have a speedy recovery soon! My biggest nightmare when it comes to sickness is the amount of pills and meds I have to take. I'm not the biggest fan of meds either. I had my first chicken pox as a kid but even then, I can vividly remember being quarantined for weeks on end and having little to do. The best part about being sick was the food and unlimited access to movies I wanted to watch at home. Hehehe
ReplyDeleteThanks! And couldn't agree more on that food and unlimited access of movies part though haha xx
Deletetetiba teringat masa diri sndiri kena dulu... parut dia tu..pergh mencabar.. =D
ReplyDeleteMemang tengah berfikir macam mana nak hilangkan parut dia ni nanti T_T
DeleteKena chickenpox masa darjah 6, I guess. Tak ingatlah. Mula-mula my abang kena, lepas dia dah baik, terus kena kat I. Apalagi terus the rest of my siblings kena jugak. Hahhahahaha
