Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette Review
Hello, gorgeousness! I recently got the Urban Decay Naked Cherry eyeshadow palette. Well, actually, my sister bought it for me as a gift. Having a sister is not bad after all. My sisters are a blessing! Anyway, a little backstory about this new palette I got: I initially wanted the ABH Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette but it was sold out so I have to quickly find an alternative under 10 minutes and it was frustrating. I really wanted the Modern Renaissance but deciding on UD Naked Cherry wasn't a bad decision after all.

The colour story of Naked Cherry really caught me. I remember watching Chloe Morello's review on the Naked Cherry collection more than 5 times because the colour of this collection really stood out for me if that makes sense. It literally is a stunning array of deep, rich, cherry-plum, sultry shades. Some people don't find it wearable in terms of day-to-day basis but I guess that's not the case for me.

Let's take a closer look at the shades, shall we? I'll do the shades break down below as well, and if you're wondering, all swatches are single swipes.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette Review
  • Hot Spot - ivory matte
  • Caution - soft neutral beige matte (fav transition shade)
  • Bang Bang - shimmery pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle (fav everyday shimmer)
  • Feelz - soft dusty rose matte
  • Juicy - soft warm peach (fav one-and-done shade)
  • Turn On - pale metallic rose shimmer
  • Ambitious - metallic rose copper
  • Bing - deep mauve matte (sometimes can get a little bit patchy)
  • Devilish - reddish plum matte
  • Young Love - metallic cranberry
  • Drunk Dial - deep metallic burgundy
  • Privacy - deep brownish-plum matte (fav shade to darken the upper eye line)
First and foremost: the quality, pigmentation, and longevity of the shades are outstanding. I guess Urban Decay shadows never disappoint and the ones in the Naked Cherry are so rich, pigmented, and top-notch. The matte shadows in here are stunning and easy to blend with both fingers and brushes. The metallic shades are also gorgeous and easy to work with. All in all, the shades are all blend like a dream, they layer beautifully and they feel like silky velvet on the skin.

Let me tell you about the packaging real quick. This palette has a magnetic closure, which is always appreciated and my personal preference. It has a decent amount of weight put into it. It's solid, eye-catching, and more importantly sturdy. I have the tendency to get a little bit careless with my palettes, so honestly speaking, I've dropped this eyeshadow palette twice since I got it. I'm impressed none of the shadows is broken into pieces and the component is still excellent as ever.

I love that this palette caters to a lot of different eye looks. All shades pair well together and they transition beautifully from day to evening looks. It truly is a stunning neutral, sultry palette for me. It has a good balance of shimmers and mattes. I was very much impressed and I will very much treasure this palette and play with it to create tons of different eye looks.
