So finally here we are with a full container of used products. You can see some familiar faces but some new ones! My empties posts have always been one of the longest but I will try to make it short and sweet. And it's going to be skincare-heavy this time around since we're in a pandemic and not going out as much.
Beauty products I have used up:
CERAVE Foaming Facial Cleanser
I know I was contradicting myself by saying I will not repurchase this cleanser on my empties post back in 2019. Please do not question my life choices. To be honest, it's nothing if not wonderful, especially since it's pH balanced and contains ingredients like Ceramide and Niacinamide. Did I mention it's also pretty affordable? The only thing is that it didn't wow me anymore. So I am not repurchasing this time. For real.
KAYMAN Skintella Moisturizing Gel
I am done hyping things up but this one is an exception. I love it so much when I first tried it and it's still going strong. No fragrance or sticky feeling to it. Definitely a win. Kayman is a local brand, by the way. 100% Malaysian-made brand and I am beyond proud. This is going to be a staple, for sure. I already have a backup. Not going to talk about it much anymore, you can read it here.
SOME BY MI Truecica Mineral 100 Calming Suncream
I have reviewed this sunscreen before and I've said that it's a physical sunscreen but it doesn't feel like one. That's one of the reasons I like it. It does contain soothing ingredients which are perfect for my acne-prone skin. I love everything about this sunscreen except for the intense tea tree smell. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat IF I can find it. It's sold out everywhere for several months now.
KAYMAN Coalberry Cleanser
This is the reason why I am not buying other cleansers. I've found the one! And knowing me, I will stick to whatever works for me. This is the best cleanser for my skin type since it's a low pH cleanser and it comes in a gel form. It's free from any fragrance, it doesn't contain alcohol, it's gentle on the skin - what's not to love?
SUNPLAY Skin Aqua UV Whitening Moisture Gel
I have used up quite a few bottles of this sunscreen because it's THAT good. "Alcohol-free" is a good selling point, well, at least for me. I will make my way no matter what to try alcohol-free skincare. This is gonna make it to my most repurchased sunscreen ever and I will continue to repurchase it.
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
There's something about this that just does it for me. It feels like I've made it in life as long as I have this baby in my skincare stash. I know I am dramatic and I own it. My skin is miserable without this. It fixes everything and makes my skin looks like I've been drinking 8 glasses of water a day.
I noticed how dull my skin looks when I was in denial and thinking I don't need it anymore once it was finished. Well, jokes on me. It's really good, guys and I don't have to explain why it has the word "power" on its packaging. I've already repurchased it and the world feels better again.
SIMPLE Hydrating Cleansing Oil
It's no surprise it's here with us again BUT with a new look! I just feel the need to mention it again because it's a staple for me. I just prefer cleansing oil over balms. This baby right here does the work so well, it's gentle, and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or stripped. And it's so affordable.
DR.MORITA Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask
Side note: this was way back when there was no ingredient “Sake” or Rice Ferment Filtrate added to their famous hyaluronic acid masks. Just to be clear, I stopped buying all of their hyaluronic acid masks in general. I don't want to get in trouble. For context, “Sake” is basically a Japanese rice wine/punch (correct me if I am wrong) and it's against my religion if I continue to use it. Not repurchasing forever. I am not big on their HA masks anyway, so I'm good.
DR.MORITA Whitening Essence Facial Mask
This one, on the other hand, is my go-to facial mask for my pamper routine. It's so much better than their HA masks and it needs to be talked about more. It's so underrated. Don't get me started on the ingredients - it packs a punch - it contains tranexamic acid, mandelic acid, squalane, and the list goes on. And no it doesn't contain any “Sake”, it's safe and it's been that way. Will definitely be a repurchase!
BIO-OIL Skincare Oil
This is a decent skincare oil if I am being honest. I don't like it too much but I don't hate it either. It's okay, this one can stay in my skincare stash. I don't have stretch marks in particular but I am preventing it that's why I got it. I don't see any signs of stretch marks on my body yet, I don't know if that's because of the product or? So I repurchased a new one to experiment more with it. I hope I am not getting scammed haha!
And that wraps up today's post! I tried to go as briefly as I could because I am unstoppable when it comes to beauty talks in general. I've got some great products here today and I am surprised not a lot of them I despise.

Have you finished anything amazing recently? Let me know your thoughts!
I think Bio Oil is the only product from these that I've tried and I remember really liking it, but I haven't used it in quite a few years x
ReplyDeleteBeautylymin
It's really nice actually. It's comfortable on the skin! No weird residue or anything.
DeleteI really want to try the cos Rx power essence! I’m almost due an empties post too! xx
ReplyDeleteDanielle's Beauty Blog
It's my baby and it's here to stay. It's sooo good! Can't wait for your empties! xx
DeleteI've heard so much about the Cerave cleanser! I also love the sound of the suncream you've mentioned, great post x
ReplyDeleteCerave is alright but I need more than that, that's why I had to stop. That sunscreen is actually so good but it's sold out everywhere. I don't know where to repurchase.
DeleteHahah I'm glad it's not just me who's like 'I'm never buying this again' and then it's convenient and I do! x
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of most of these but some sound really good, especially the DR.MORITA Whitening Essence Facial Mask!xx

I have a lot of empties and most of them are from Herbivore Botanicals and Kiehl's because I love how it works on my skin. I used to hype Hada Labo brand (the premium whitening blue bottle one) but after I found Hatamugi skin care, I'm hooked. So those 3 are my go-to products. I will definitely update on my blog if I find any new, effective and affordable products in the future.
ReplyDeletebtw, I'm really intriguing to try that Kayman Skintella Moisturising Gel. Because it's best to support local products during this hard time.
