Have you ever found yourself wondering, “Does my career is at stake after
AI?”
Well, you’re not alone. With all the buzz surrounding artificial intelligence
(AI) these days, it’s easy to get swept up in thoughts of robots taking over
the world, leaving us mere mortals jobless and wandering the streets in search
of purpose. But I’m here to tell you why I believe my
career as a writer is not at stake after the rise of AI.
First things first, let’s break down what AI actually is.
Think of it as your tech-savvy friend, capable of learning, reasoning, and
problem-solving just like a human brain—but without the need for coffee breaks
or bathroom trips. From powering virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa to
driving cars and predicting the weather, AI is everywhere these days, quietly
shaping the world around us in ways both big and small.
Now, I don’t know about you, but the idea of robots taking over the workforce
used to keep me up at night. I mean, who wants to compete with a machine that
never sleeps and doesn’t even need health insurance?
But then I realized something: AI may be smart, but it’s still no match for
the human touch. Sure, AI can crunch numbers and analyze data faster than you
can say “algorithm,” but it’s missing one ingredient:
Empathy.
As humans, we bring a unique perspective to the table—one shaped by our
experiences, emotions, and good old-fashioned gut instincts. And try as they
might, I don’t see robots mastering the art of a heartfelt pep talk or a
shoulder to cry on anytime soon.
Plus, let’s not forget that AI is only as good as the people behind it.
Someone has to design, program, and maintain all those fancy algorithms and
neural networks, right? And that someone could very well be you or me. So
instead of viewing AI as a threat to our careers, why not see it as an
opportunity to learn and grow?
Think of AI as your high-tech co-worker, here to lend a hand and make your job
a little bit easier. From what I understand, AI is still pretty new, and
people are still figuring out how it can affect different industries. It could
lead to some new problems or changes down the road, but it’s also probably
going to stay helpful for those who need it. Embrace it, learn from it, and
who knows? You might just find yourself with a shiny new skill set and a
newfound sense of confidence in the world of AI.
In the end, the future is what we make of it. So let’s roll up our sleeves,
put on our thinking caps, and show those robots who’s boss. Remember, the only
thing we have to fear is fear itself—and maybe the occasional software glitch.
But hey, nobody’s perfect, right?
Until next time, keep calm and carry on—AI’s got nothing on us!
I can see some good things with AI, but I still find it quite threatening in terms of careers etc x

I agree! It's definitely a bit nerve-wracking to think about the impact AI could have on jobs and industries but I'm just staying optimistic for now <3
