It's been a hot minute since I last checked in, but guess what? I have finally
wriggled free from the clutches of DIY renovation madness –
the flooring project
is officially a wrap, and my toes are doing a happy dance on the smooth, shiny
surface! Phew!
Now, onto the good stuff: beauty bits! Today, I'm so thrilled to spill the tea
on six samples that have snuck their way into my daily routine, courtesy of my
recent Sephora and Shopee hauls. And, no, I didn't go
ham. It was... reasonable, alright? Let's dig in, shall we?
Axis-Y Complete No Stress Physical Sunscreen
As someone who is all about protecting my skin from harmful rays, I was eager
to give this sunscreen a
whirl. This is good stuff! It's super creamy and hydrating, making my
skin feel all nourished and glowy. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy, which is a
major win for me. It also smells very herbal, but nothing too obnoxious. It
takes a bit to soak in, but once it does, it's so comfy! The only downside is
it leaves a bit of a white cast on my skin and can sting if I get it too close
to my eyes. I'm on the fence about buying the full size though, since I'm
really into
my regular sunscreen
right now.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Niacinamide Dew Drops
I gotta admit, I was confused by this for a while. I just couldn't figure out
if it was meant to be
skincare,
makeup, or some mix of both. Turns out, it does deliver on its promise, though
I'm still not sure about the whole hybrid thing. It gives you an instant glow
and the Niacinamide seems to even out my skin and make it glow more. But, man,
that scent was strong and kinda fake. Overall, it's alright, but I wouldn't
splurge on the
full-size version. I do
like the gel texture and the glow it gives, but it's just too pricey for what
it does, you know?
Kopari Niacinamide & Caffeine Eye Bright Cream
This eye cream actually meets my standards, which is saying a lot because I'm
usually skeptical about eye creams. The
soothing green cream
really helps with dark circles and puffiness and makes my under-eye area look
fresh. When I put it on my under-eyes, I immediately noticed a dewy glow and a
cooling sensation. It works great under makeup too, without messing up my
concealer. I would totally buy the full size and try more from Kopari,
especially since they are a clean beauty brand and known for their
award-winning coconut products.
Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Sunkissed Nude
I mainly use this as a
lipstick and lip liner.
I gave it a shot on my cheeks once, but it didn't quite work as a blush, you
know? But for lips, it's awesome! It goes on super smooth, no fuss. It's
creamy and covers well. As a lipstick, it doesn't pull or skip, and I can line
my lips real precise. No smudging or drying out, which is a win! It lasted a
good 6 hours without any weird feathering too. I love how it feels creamy but
sets matte. I thought it might be drying, but it wasn't at all. Definitely
gonna grab the full-size one!
Skintific MSH Niacinamide Brightening Moisture Gel
I was super pumped to give it a go because I have heard awesome stuff about
Skintific (and I'm obsessed with their
cushion foundation UGH!)
and the stuff this moisturizer is made of seemed just right for my
skin! It goes on so smoothly and just melts right into my skin, leaving
it feeling nice and cool, and moisturized. Especially with the crazy hot
weather lately, that cool feeling is like a little slice of heaven every time
I put it on. And it's got all the good stuff I love – Ceramide, Niacinamide
and Centella Asiatica, just to name a few. My skin never feels tight or dry,
no matter what time of day I use it. Plus, there's none of that gross sticky
feeling afterwards. Seriously,
this stuff is a winner
in my book.
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum
This stuff really helped fade some of those annoying dark spots from old acne.
But its real magic I think is brightening. I really feel like it makes my skin
look glowy. I really like the
lightweight consistency. My skin is always so smooth after using it, and any redness from
breakouts seems to disappear in no time. As an acne prone girlie it doesn't
break me out either which is a win! I'm definitely curious to try more from
Biossance. I have already tested their Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer
before, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. Thinking about grabbing the
full-size serum next time!

DeleteI got that sunscreen several years ago and didn't like it as it stings my undereye areas as well so I went back to my go-to sunscreen from Sulwhasoo before trying other Korean SPFs
ReplyDeleteMyra | Beauty Diary
Ikr! I really like how the sunscreen feels on my skin but sometimes it stings a bit too much which is a bummer. I've heard great things about Sulwhasoo, though. Glad you found a go-to that works for you!
DeleteI have not tried any of these products before, but I am intrigued by the Kopari eye cream! I also have not tried any makeup from Nudestix, but it's great to hear you like their lipstick and pencil!
ReplyDeleteOooh it's really hydrating and feels great on the skin. Definitely give it a try if you don't have an eye cream in your routine. And yes, Nudestix is amazing – their lipstick and pencil are super easy to use and have a great finish!
