It's been quite a while since I shared one of these lists!
I totally planned to write one during my two-week Eid break, but, you know,
life happened. (Got crazy busy and my blog had to chill for a bit.) But hey,
I’m totally back in the groove now, ready to tackle work and grind away. My
days have been jam-packed since I got back, but I've found solace in taking
little moments to appreciate the small joys in my everyday life.
There's something special about the little things, not necessarily the
fanciest ones, in our everyday lives. Here's another roundup of those tender,
heartfelt joys and tiny treasures that have graced my recent days.
- Catching up with my siblings over a group video call. Hearing their laughter always brightens my day.
- FISH AND CHIPS!
- Embracing cloudy days as a respite from the scorching heat. Yay for a chance to cozy up indoors with my feel-good movies!
- Sharing a morning chit-chat with mi love, even though I'm not usually a morning person, there's something serene about easing into the day together.
- Getting lost in the poetic melodies of Taylor Swift's “Fortnight” and “Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?” and “Down Bad” and basically the whole TTPD album :')
- There's nothing quite like enjoying icy-cold mangoes to cool down when it’s uncomfortably hot outside.
- Treating myself to a good 5-minute skin gritting session using my favorite cleansing oil, banishing those annoying pore-cloggers for good – because self-care is non-negotiable.
- Reveling in the joy of caring for my adorable niece, a little bundle of endless energy and laughter – she's a constant source of happiness in my life!
- When you pay all the bills on time, knowing there's still plenty left over for you and your loved ones – financial peace of mind is priceless, people.
- A date day until midnight <3
- Gossiping with my little sister until the stars come out.
- Carving out a whole afternoon and evening just for myself on a Thursday, indulging in Netflix, cuddling with my cat, and pampering my skin with a luxurious gel mask.

Thanks so much Lucy! So glad you found it uplifting xx
DeleteWhat a beautiful way to spend the last few days. Family, a lil extra money left in the bank account, and great morning talks. Me and my boyfriend tend to wake up at separate times, and first one up tends to walk the dog, but we love our late night chats!

Aww it's great that you both have your own rhythms but still make time for those late-night chats! And those morning walks with the dog must be a peaceful start to the day xx
DeleteI must say this is one of the cutest post I've ever read. And when I read about your little niece, she immediately reminded me of one of the little characters in my current WIP. Exactly as you described.
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you so much! That's such a sweet compliment! It's funny how certain things, like my niece, can remind us of characters we create. I love that connection! :')
