I have been meaning to do this review for a while, but you know how life gets
in the way (aka
procrastination, oops!). However, after reading
Danielle's post
about this, I was like, "Okay, it's time!"
I've been using the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint since August, so
I've had plenty of time to form my thoughts. I'm excited to dive into
this review because it's been a while since I did one. So, here goes nothin'!
Here's a little breakdown of my skin and the shades I use:
- Skin profile: Oily, sensitive, and medium shade with neutral undertones
- Fenty Pro Filt'r Foundation shade: 230 (light medium with neutral undertones)
- Fenty Eaze Drop shade: 9 (medium, neutral)
About the product
The Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint (RM176/36 USD) is marketed as
a lightweight, buildable, light-to-medium coverage skin tint that gives your
skin a blurred, smooth, and natural finish. It layers seamlessly with your
skincare and primer, and is made to be humidity-, sweat-, and
transfer-resistant – perfect for us living in Malaysia where it's
always hot and humid. Bonus points for it being cruelty-free and
vegan!
Packaging
The packaging is super cute! It comes in this light and petite dropper bottle
made of mattified plastic, and the geometric design is just
chef's kiss. I love that it's compact enough to toss in my makeup bag
without taking up too much space. Although the bottle looks tiny, it
contains the same amount of product as the Pro Filt'r foundation (32 ml/1.08
oz), but it costs less. That's a win in my book!
Shade range
Fenty Beauty does not disappoint when it comes to inclusivity. The Eaze Drop
Skin Tint comes in 25 flexible shades, covering neutral, warm, and cool
undertones across five skin tone categories. As I mentioned earlier,
I'm shade 9 in Eaze Drop, and while it's a tiny bit darker than 230 in Pro
Filt'r, the neutral undertone matches me perfectly. I swear, no one can tell
I have anything on – perfect shade match, hello!
Scent
It has this faint, paint-like smell, but it's nothing too overpowering. It
kind of reminds me of a physical sunscreen scent, so if you're cool with
that, it shouldn't be a problem. I personally don't mind it.
Application
Now, for one of my favorite parts: application. The selling point for me was
the idea that I could apply this with just my fingers in seconds. I'm
low-maintenance when it comes to my everyday makeup, so I was curious if it
really was as easy as it sounds.
Spoiler alert: It is.
This product is so user-friendly, you just shake the bottle, pour a small
amount onto your fingertips, and blend away. It melts into your skin
beautifully and works well with both liquid and powder
products. Sometimes, to really blur everything out and get that "IRL
filter" look, I use a cushion foundation sponge to press and lightly swipe
the product on my skin. Trust me, the finish is stunning! While you
can build it up, I personally think it looks best with one or two
sheer layers.
One thing to note: it does oxidize a bit so don't freak out when you first
apply it and the shade looks a little off. It'll settle into your true tone
after a minute or two. Thankfully, it doesn't oxidize into a totally
different shade after a while. My sister uses a darker shade of Eaze Drop,
and she also confirmed that it didn't get darker throughout the day. We've
all been there with those products, right? But this one is safe from that
disaster!
Finish
The finish is so natural. It gives you a slight dewy look, which, as someone
with oily skin, I like to lightly set with a mattifying powder when I'm
heading out. If I'm just staying home, I skip the powder, and it still looks
great.
My skin looks smooth, even, and healthy, with just enough coverage to tone
down redness or uneven patches. I don't mind a few imperfections peeking
through because that's what concealer is for, right? Overall, I really
love the finish! I feel like all my fellow oily-skin gals can totally wear
this without worrying about looking too shiny.
Longevity, wear, and feel
This baby lasts! I've worn it for over 10 hours without it breaking
apart or getting patchy. It does get a bit more dewy as the day goes on, but
nothing a little powder touch-up can't fix. If I set it with powder, it
stays put and doesn't crease around my eyes. When I don't set it, I do
notice it settling into fine lines a little, but that's expected when you've
got lines, right?
Honestly, the formula is so light. It's like I'm wearing nothing, but it's
doing all the work. I sometimes forget I'm wearing makeup. I'm just
gonna say it – Fenty nailed it with this one.
Who’s going to love this product
If you love light coverage with a natural finish (not too matte, not too
glowy), you'll love Eaze Drop. It's suitable for most skin types and looks
great on all ages. I even convinced my mom (she's 56) to try it, and she
looks flawless in it, too. So yeah, it's mom-approved!
Verdict
Wow, Eaze Drop is hands down one of the best products Fenty Beauty has ever made.
It lives up to every claim, and then some. The coverage is just enough
to even out your skin tone while staying undetectable. This is the
perfect everyday skin tint, and I will 100% be repurchasing it for as long
as it exists. Totally A++ from me!
